Service Description: The Strategic Land Asset Management (SLAM) Program helps the Minnesota DNR manage the state’s 5.6 million acres of public lands by evaluating and improving the land portfolio through strategic acquisitions, exchanges, and sales. Working with local governments and nonprofit partners, SLAM supports conservation goals, recreation access, habitat protection, and efficient land management. The program uses data-based metrics to measure progress, including how many acquisitions meet multiple SLAM goals and the success rate of land sales.
