Stands are demarcated based on MNDNR Forestry classification of forested areas with similar conditions, based on current, past, or future management objectives. Stands are checked through varying means such as on-site visits, aerial as well as remote sensing based modeling and interpretation. The characteristics for each stand are housed within this dataset, and represent summations for the characteristics of the area (i.e., Stand).
